Grandparents and Special Friends Day at l'Ecole Française du Maine

Today was a very special day. Today, grandparents and special friends were invited at the school to visit the classrooms of their grandchildren/special friends. It is a wonderful opportunity for them to spend precious moments together and for the children to share their school activities and routine.

Children got to explain and guide their grandparents/special friends through their work in French...

They got to impress their grandparents/special friends with their French spelling during a little "dictée" time...

Grandparents/special friends got to follow a specific circuit with the little ones, through hoops, hopping on one foot, slaloming around cones...

They listened to our talented musicians playing ukulele and flute...and even got to sing along!

They worked on their spelling skills in English class...

They worked together on a special drawing project and had a lot of fun!

After their time in the classrooms, grandparents and special friends headed to the community hall to enjoy a special performance by The GS and CP who sang traditional French songs.

A fabulous lunch had been prepared by our beloved Julie Fryer... everyone had a wonderful time savoring delicious treats and chatting together after a wonderful speech by Elizabeth Mitchell.

Merci merci merci to everyone who was able to come today. You made this day very special.
