Bienvenue à Dahlila Hadjeras

L'Ecole Française du Maine is thrilled to welcome Dahlila  Hadjeras to its faculty in the grade 2/3 classroom in the fall 2015.
Dahlila was born in Besançon in the east of France in Franche-Comté. After completing high school, she began her studies in geology until changing gears to work in the Cité de l'Espace in Toulouse in the south west of France. There, for the next 4 years, she led educational workshops on the solar system for students from ages 6 to 11. She went on to complete her Bachelor of Science in Education and passed the national teaching exam in Versailles to become a fully certified teacher. She then taught elementary school for 8 years in Hauts de Seine, just outside of Paris in Boulogne-Billancourt. She loves the versatility of the teaching profession and has a particular interest in teaching science with an emphasis on experimentation using the scientific method. She also enjoys theatre and she loves ancient civilizations and Greek mythology particularly. Dahlila is a physically active person. She has played volleyball and practiced Savate / French boxing, for several years. She likes to discover different cultures and enjoys learning languages. She is currently learning literary Arabic. She cannot wait to discover Maine, its restaurants, beautiful landscapes and its inhabitants.
