Gustave Klimt "L'arbre de vie" et Juli Cady Ryan " Whimsical winter"

In class we talked about Klimt's "Tree of life" and Art Nouveau, a style of art that's inspired by natural forms and structures. We studied the work of a newly discovered american artist Juli Ryan, who is clearly inspired by Klimt's spiral tree. We read Ryan's biography and explored her art online at  http://www.juliryansart.com/. As we studied this topic during the first snowstorm here in Maine, we focused on the series of her paintings called "Whimsical winter".  Inspired by the weather and the art of these two amazing artists the children offer you their view of winter in Maine.
