A la découverte de Keith Haring

Don't forget to visit the K-1 class blog for more amazing articles! (http://gscpefdm.blogspot.com/)

Last week, the children of the class worked on drawings of an American painter, Keith Haring. His work is very recognizable, with colorful figures in movement, often delivering a message of peace.

The Kindergarten students learned to draw his way, first on boards and then on paper; they adapted well to a new format and managed to vary the positions and movements of their characters.

The first grade students work on a more "monumental" format: life size format!

In groups of two, they traced the silhouette of one partner, before painting the inside and the background in bright colors; the next day they went over the outline with black paint and added lines indicating the movement of their figure.

Il nage! He's swimming!
Il court! He's running!
Il danse! He's dancing!
Il tombe! He's falling!
