Junior Achievement of Maine

Senator George Mitchell was one of four Maine leaders to be inducted into the Maine Business Hall of Fame during a dinner at the Marriott Sable Oaks in South Portland on Wednesday, May 10, 2011. Senator Mitchell represented Maine in D.C. from 1980 to 1995 and is currently the U.S. Special Envoy for Middle East Peace.

Following the Senator's induction into the Hall of Fame was Brenda Garrand, founder and CEO of marketing communications firm Garrand. Ad Age named her company one of the top marketing and media companies to work for and President Clinton named her Maine's delegate to the White House Council on Small Business. Garrand designed L'Ecole Française du Maine 's website.
