The students from grades 2, 3, 4, 5, and 6 meet once a week on Tuesday afternoons to read together. We divided the students in three reading groups.
The goal of the reading contest is to have the children read and share the story together. They help each other with the understanding of the books, the vocabulary and the plot.
We, their teachers, prepared some activities designed to evaluate their comprehension of the stories, through questions, true or false…
They were all very hard-working and deserved a little reward!

The reading contest will resume next week with new groups, new books and new expectations. This time, not only will the students read the books, but they will also be designing and creating activities around it, that will be used for the « real » reading contest.
