The CM2 and 6ème students (grade 5&6) started studying Le Collectionneur d’instants, a fantastic book by the author and illustrator Quint Buchholz. It is a great book that blends text and illustrations wonderfully. We are still at the beginning of our journey.
First, I read the first pages to them and they were able to share their feelings, their thoughts on the characters, the narrative, the place. They were then given different paintings of the book and created a story about it, that they later shared in class. They are posted in the hallway, please come see them !
We will continue our study of Le Collectionneur d’instants by discovering more text and comparing the invented stories with the stories from the book.
