The whole school was delighted by an African drumming concert. After learning about the different types of drums, the students asked questions about their fabrication and how they were played. The students brought musical instruments they had made in art class with them to the performance and they adorned African masks and costumes they created as part of their study of Africa. The musicians invited the students to play along on their instruments as everyone learned a traditional song about a girl who was the best dancer in the village. It was a wonderful performance!!
