This mosaic project was inspired by a Roman mosaic floor from the archeological site in Saint-Roman-en-Gal, France. It is an agricultural calendar where each calendar depicts a season or a type of agricultural activity from the third century. Students represented the panels using grains on a salt dough plaque.
