The next handwriting element that the GS/Cp are learning is "loops".They read Sandy's Circus by Tanya Lee Stone, a story about Alexander Calder. They watched a video of his circus show. Later students drew Calder inspired loops, filled with bright colors.
After studying vertical and horizontal lines students combine the knowledge of both and learn what is a grid. Then they practice weaving paper strips in this colorful collage.
