Grandparents and Special Friends of students in all grades spent the morning at L'Ecole Française du Maine. After a tour of the school, they enjoyed a choral performance from the preschool - grade 1 led by Music Teacher, Joelle Morris.
Our guests then spent time in their grandchild's classroom where they participated in activities and were able to see first-hand what their grandchildren experience each day. Next, they were invited to sit for refreshments and enjoy more student performances by the upper elementary grade chorus and violin strings students of Shaina Graff.
Parent, Merritt Carey, spoke to the audience about why her family chose an international education for their children and what it means to them. Discussion about the school's mission and programs was presented by Founder and Head of School, Willy LeBihan. Founder and Director of Admissions,
Beth LeBihan, spoke about the Suzuki music program and why Dr. Suzuki's "Mother tongue approach" is such a good fit for the school. It was a wonderful day and the school thanks our parent volunteers, Kristin Casey and Merritt Carey for all they did to make our first Grandparents and Special Friends Day such a success.
This was a great opportunity for the school to thank the grandparents for all they do to support their grandchildren all year long.
Merci beaucoup!
