Congratulations to all of the students on their beautiful performances at the first Suzuki concert of the year. Everyone played so well, and their hard work was evident through the music. The concert began with a special treat, as we were inspired by an older student, Elise, now a freshman at NYA. She played Mozart with DeeDee to the delight of all and the students were motivated by this performance. Next the chorus sang a song, which was followed by solos in cello, violin, piano and classical guitar. Some students performed for their very first time, while others continue to advance in their instruments, playing more and more advanced pieces. One guitar student celebrated his Twinkle graduation, an important milestone in the Suzuki Method. We concluded with a trumpet solo of "When the Saints Come Marching In". Thanks to all of the parents who continually support their children by attending lessons and practicing with them each day, and to their teachers who have given them the precious gift of music!
