Cinéma à l'école

Today, the whole school had the privilege of watching the "world premiere" of Pierre et le Loup, a short film created and made by the class of GS and CP. The film was inspired by the musical tale by Prokoviev. The students created the costumes and accessories. They also worked on dialogs inspired by the story.

The result was amazing! Congratulations to the students and their teachers for their hard work and creativity!

What a treat it was! It felt like a movie theater as students were served popcorn. A very special moment today!

Parachutes

The CE1 and CE2 designed parachutes at home and experimented the way they fly in class this afternoon. There was a variety of very inventive parachutes made with cardboard, plastic and other material.

The flight time was timed to see which material and design were the most practical and efficient.
Bravo to all our little designers for their inventively and dedication!

Les cupcakes à la carotte des PS et MS

The PS and MS bake, once a month, to celebrate the birthdays of the month. Yesterday, they prepared delicious gluten-free carrot cupcakes with chocolate chips in it. Chocolate makes everything better...
Everyone worked actively on making the batter, adding the ingredients one by one and sharing the different tasks.

A little time in the oven et voilà! Delicious cupcakes to share in the classroom with our friends! Bon appétit!

Training for the Rallye Maths

The CP and CE1 have been working together in mathematics activities to train for the Rallye Maths. The Rallye is a math competition organized by the French Schools of North America and this year, more than 405 classes are participating, from GS to CM2.

In March there is an event called La Semaine des Mathématiques and it is during this time that the official competition takes place.

It is a great opportunity for the children to work together as a team, exchange ideas, solve problems and have fun doing math!

Great job children!
